Cupping therapy

Cupping is an ancient technique in which a negative pressure (vacuum) is created using cupping glasses so that the tissue can be deeply stimulated. The skin, the underlying tissue and the muscles are lightly sucked in. Depending on the indication, the cups remain on the skin for several minutes, for example to work on tight muscles. At the same time, a cupping massage can stimulate large areas and increase blood circulation. By using different sizes of cupping glasses, different suction effects can be achieved and different areas of the body can be treated.  The suction results in reactive increased circulation in the area.

What exactly happens during a cupping treatment?

1. after the first telephone call, you will receive a health questionnaire from me, which you will send back to me a few days before our cupping appointment.

2. the subsequent cupping appointment takes place in the practice in Pornichet. Here I will discuss your complaints in detail and we will decide on your cupping treatment together.
3. for some complaints, it may be advisable to arrange further appointments in the following weeks in order to achieve a lasting improvement.
